I remember getting "wtfpwned" in Ascalon Arena because almost everyone had max armor.

I was a W/Mo who thought mending was good.

Doing THK about a bazillion times before actually getting it done. I think it was mostly that I was a horrible warrior, and no one liked warriors on top of that.

My first FoW run had my team wiped at the first area. Lol, I ran into the in mob and over aggroed, good times good times.

I remember farming Trolls for a living. Along with the occasional Hydra run.

I have a lot more memories, but I'll just keep them to myself.

I remember when IDS would drop as a blue weapon, despite always being max and 15^50.

I remember people would apply blue dye to an FDS, which made it sort of look like an IDS in your inventory. People would then go to ascalon and sell it as if it was an IDS.

doing infusion runs in iron mines to infuse 1 piece of armour at a time.

the free chest that spawned by the eidolon

20/20 sundering mods being 80k+

random salvages of weapon mods.

no mass NPC traders (dye/rune etc)

a limit of 5 on the ammount of times you can change region.

buying non max weapons and thinking youre amazing with your new purple 6-9 wand

having to kill the rifts in tomb of primeval kings

using mending on my warrior with a vamp weapon to get an amazing +2 health regen

I remember the "noob filter" (THK)and how i pugged several times with no success, but did it with henchies after the 6th try XD. Oddly enough, can't remember the monk strike.

One of my favorite memories is when i was capping elites on ring of fire, and had a hard time getting through those damn hydras. One day I saw a female ele with her spanking brand new fow armor, fire staff and helping us like a pro. He was like, "wait... follow me, and after following him it took us like 20 minutes to cap that damn elite" since that day i wanted to get fow for my ele until i did it 2 years ago

Anyone remembers the days when amber was 5k a piece? and spent all day playing AB just to get 3k faction to sell amber?

Ah yes, those were the days
Soloing Thirsty River with my N/Mo and a gazillion minions. Who cares if they aggro the wrong mob and don't kill the priest in time? That's just more bodies for me to exploit!
Farming Tengu in Twin Serpent Lakes with my E/Mo smiting build (all melee mobs, no AoE scatter). That was hilarious - Ether Renewal + Zealots Fire, stick up some other enchantments, and spam Divine Boon (back when you could spam DB) = God-mode. Then they changed DB to have a cool down, so it was DB and RoF. Then they changed DB's targetting so it no longer worked, and you had to go RoF + Guardian. Eventually, they bit the bullet and added a load of Mesmer Tengu to the groups. Still, those feathery chaps bought me my first elite armour set.

I remember Tombs being packed because the end greens were worth alot,
Sarrows Furnace was HUGE!!!
LA was the place to be,
running to ToA/Sanctum Cay was difficult,
almost any gold weapon with 15^50 was worth 5-10k
getting infused was a big deal!
O!! and IDS farming was a leet thing

I also remember tryin to PUG FoW, and getting destroyed on the first plain.....back then a team of 1 barrage ranger, 2 monks, 1 warrior, and 4 meteor shower eles would destroy.....still would but people dont do that

Korea always having favour.. not good times. And rangers expertise lowering the cost of all skills, good times.

I remember a lot of stuff some pvp some pve.

Lets see first thing is when beating Glint was something that you screen capped. I think as an ele I pugged a group and was one of the first teams to beat Glint on the first attempt.

The dual body guards in GVG. When the Guild Lord wasn't from factions. When you didn't have to unlock RA, TA or HA (was tombs).

I actually remember Tombs being in the desert and the non crap maps in what is now HA.

Farmin Sorrows Furnace and getting 3 greens as a triple nuker before the aggro nerf. I remember selling some greens for 100k a piece or 500k for the set.

I remember the old interface where it looked like you had a square + to add players.

Soloing the UW on a war when you could actually kill the axxtaes.

I also remember there not being a hardmode or the no end of game greens.

When golds weren't always maxed out.

I remember the protective bond nerf. Everyone in LA would have burnt the town down if they could.

Accually getting happy when a higher damage weapon you could use dropped for you and equipping it.

Also finding out my level 4 E/Me wasnt suitable for shooting a bow

When people were telling others about new farming builds instead of asking to have them nerfed.

Use to love the free chests they had too
Those weapons still exist, I got a +15%/-1 hp regen Jitte in Cantha some time ago.

Thats not the point... I KNOW they still exist, but you cant turn them into non conditional weapons anymore. Try reading the post.

THK was fun! I ended up beating it with henchies after so many failed pugs.

The day that the merchant crashed and ecto and everything else was like 50g and Anet didn't do a roll back.

I logged off 20 minutes before it happened

The most memorable one for me is Monk Strike at THK. They were protesting against un-appreciation they receive after healing the Leeroying Whammos.

In halls, the most hilarious memory was standing in the middle of altar to prevent Ghostly hero from capping it.

Sorrows Furnace 5 man Oro farm ...lol that Brohn's staff was HOT!
